Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Ultra-Slim Notebook Now Available Stateside
Lenovo has finally released the 13.3-inch ThinkPad X1 ultra-slim notebook series in the US market. Measuring at only 0.84-inch thin and weighing at 3.7 pounds, the laptop meets 8 military ruggedness standards. This rugged laptop is powered by either a 2.5GHz Intel Core i5-2520M or a 2.1GHz Intel i3-2310M processor, an integrated graphics, up to 8GB of RAM, a choice of 128GB or 160GB solid state drive, or a 320GB hard disk drive. Additionally, the X1 is the first ThinkPad to feature a display covered with damage-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass. The LED display is also outdoor-viewable, providing a 350-nit brightness and a 1366 x 768 pixels resolution. Its battery provides enough juice for up to 5.2-hour of operation time on a single charge. Additional specs include a spill-resistant keyboard with a backlight, Lenovo UltraNav trackpad and TrackPoint stick, Dolby Home Theater audio, a low-light sensitive webcam, Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet connections, a USB 3.0, an eSATA/USB 2.0 port, HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort connectors, a fingerprint reader and a 4-in-1 media card slot.
