Facebook application launches dedicated Chat

The Facebook decided to make life easier for others who use the chat feature of the site and is in a mobile platform, such as tablets or smartphones. Until now you could only talk through the official application, the third-party application or the mobile version. But it introduced on Tuesday a dedicated version of its application to chat, Facebook called Messenger.

Besides enabling conversations between users of the site, Facebook Messenger also brings some new features. You can, for example, send data from the GPS to mark a meeting place through the application. Another novelty is also exclusive of the Messenger is the ability to send photos directly to contacts without sending the profile for the album before.

Facebook has released a version for Android at the Android Market (it requires at least version 2.2 of the system), and the version for iOS momentarily only available in the U.S. AppStore.
