ASUS develop a tablet, Oak Trail platform



Intel officially announced the new mobile platform - Oak Trail,

Among the products based 0on Atom Z670 processor, Asus is mentioned about theirnew ASUS Eee tablet Pad Slider. It is known that the Eee Pad Slider is now beingbuilt in two NVIDIA Tegra platform. This model has a slide-out keyboard equippedwith IPS display with a size of 10.1 inches. It is assumed that the Eee Pad Slider will be powered by Google Android 3.0 (Honeycomb).

The assumption that ASUS decided to change the hardware platform reinforced witha message on the website "Italian Notebook, " which stated that ASUS plans torelease the latest version of the Slider in September (the appearance of the first models are expected in May).

This situation is removed when the information about the tablets disappeared fromthe Intel website. Following this, the ASUS representatives explained that there was a mistake. Slider Pad Tablet Eee will not be built on Intel's Atom, but the company isactually working on the tablet with Oak Trail platform.
