Google Delays Honeycomb Code Release



Google Android 3.0 software, referred to as the "Honeycomb," meant to be thecornerstone of a wave of Android tablet who aspire to challenge Apple iPad andshowed that the post-PC era in his hand.

"Android 3.0, Honeycomb, designed the device with a larger screen size and improveon Android favorites such as widgets, multi-tasking, browsing, notification andadjustment.

Google is committed to Android as an open platform, is still debated by some,including Apple CEO Steve Jobs. Some developers are satisfied also voicedskepticism, noting that Android is only about one step from the open source projectthat is open in name only. Restrictions imposed by the operator using Google'sAndroid and legal action in 2009 against the developers who create custom ROMimage for Android handset using Google's proprietary software does not helpGoogle's open source cred.
